KNIGHT
MEANS
MORE.
The truth is, I never thought I'd end up doing hospice. In fact, I first did a clinical rotation in the hospice floor due to staff shortage. I thought it was going to be a one-time thing.
To my surprise, I "fit" in. Hospice wasn't what I thought it was.
It was so much more.
It wasn't an accident I was placed there. It was orchestrated like the sound of a violin playing in a symphony.
See, being a Knight requires more than just the armor. By itself the armor is of no use. By itself it would be another heavy and oversized piece of luggage.
The armor requires selflessness. It requires us to be an emblem of what Christ did for us.
The truth is I don't own an iron suit. I don't have a sword. And by all accounts I own nothing resembling a knight.
I am only a Knight because it's written in my heart. I simply want to share the shield of hope, that by HIS grace, has shielded me. The greatest gift we can have is to know that we have a Knight. Our Protector. Our Savior.
You are not alone. Your story matters. Your legacy matters. We are here to let you know we can walk the bridge together. Because its not about the arrival point.
It's about the hope and comfort you can have along the way.
This is our mission. This is our calling. It's written in our hearts. And our shield can be yours too.
